WHAT'S THE CHALLENGE?
A wardrobe challenge is simple. You pick 30 items from your closet that you are going to use to create every outfit you need for the next month. Then you create 30 completely different outfits for the 30 days. (You can make it a little easier by starting in February since there are only 28 days.)

DO SHOES COUNT?
Yes, shoes count. Some stylists and bloggers who have taken the challenge will say that you shouldn't count jewelry and accessories. But if you want to make it especially challenging, you can include them in your 30 items.

I will be cleaning out my closet this week so I am not tempted to wear items other than the 30. I will begin the wardrobe remix on May first.

ok it is taking me a week of nap times to make this dress. It is Butterick 4513, '57 retro. Yesterday I pinned the lining of the skirt, and today I sewed it, made a casing, and put the elastic in, need to shorten the elastic. I also sewed the darts in the top. I hate sewing darts, always have. Tomorrow I hope to finish the top, and pin the top to the skirt.

And one for mini me.

L wanted her dress to look exactly like mine.

I got some great deals this weekend and today.

Philips Sonicare® Essence Power Toothbrush twin pack (includes 2 handles and 4 brush heads and 2 travel cases) at Costco with our Costco rebate check. Retail $110.00 for one Toothbrush, Costco $89.99, Saving my family $130.00 then I open them and find 2 registrations and $60 towards replacement heads, Not as good as a rebate, but good for saving in the future.

Today I went to Payless BOGO to get summer shoes, the second pair was original priced at $22.99, marked down to $7.00, then 50% off got them for $3.50 WOW saved 20 bucks.

Then I went next door to Bath and Body Works to have a sniff at the new scents. I got bye 2 get the 3rd free lip glosses.

So far today my kids have had two breakfasts and played bowling, doggie, fort, cars, blocks, drums, and are now coloring and making cards for the two birthdays this weekend.

January is G.O. month. GET ORGANIZED

My tips for being organized.

1. Get a claendar. each family member gets to pick a color, then get a pen, pencil or highlighter in these colors. When a project is due at school write it down, Dr. appointments, Vacation, girl's night out, PTA meetings. You will know who needs to be where when.

2. Small accoridan folder, for cupons. clip them out, put it in the folder and keep the folder in your purse. Get a second one for receipts.

3. Shoe rack, ours is in the coat closet. You never see our shoes. and you never trip on them.

4. Menu planing. MOM!? Whats for dinner? I sit down on Sunday night and plan a menu for the week then post it on the refrigerator. (lunch is also posted but the kids eat the same 6 things every week.)

5. Plan your outfit for tomorrow, with all the undergarments and accessories too. It will help you start tomorrow on the right foot.

I made my DD a bag for School this year, and My DS wanted one as well. It is great for books and activities for our road trips.

I think it’s good to constantly be learning and trying new things. It encourages creativity and it allows you to explore new areas and attempt new skills.

S and I are biting our time until the kids wake up from their nap. We want to open stalking.

Then we plan to bake cookies as a family watch a christmas movie, video chat with papa and GG in california and open their presents. Then Christmas pajamas! , and The night before Christmas story in bed.

We went bowling Monday night the kids love to bowl. and I got over 100, better than S this time.

I am reading same kind of different as me, my friend J and I are starting a book club in the new year.

I have all my Christmas shopping done, everything is wrapped and in or under the tree. L and M keep taking off the ornaments to play with them.

I need to start baking cookies and sweets. Yes I know this is last minute. But S and I would eat them otherwise and we just started working out.

Happy New Year! Ok, so I have always been the tortoise, But I'll bet I end the year great.

For Christmas I received: the box set of Gone with the wind, awesome and totally unexpected, A foot bath, and salt, to pamper my self. a flat iron/ curling iron, and styling spray.

a box for frosting tips, and stacking cooling rack.

A great new book, signed by the Author.

My Dad was not sure what to get me so he took me shopping, and I picked out, 6 kitchen towels, an Iron-on-transfer, and embroidery thread. That project should keep my hands busy this year.
