False Labor

Wednesday morning I woke up after having contractions most of the night. L (who is now in a toddler bed, and is able to get out of bed on her own) walked in to our room around 8 am. I had 3 contractions in 15 min. so I told S I am in early labor, and I am going to see how my contractions continue for the next hour. then I would call the Dr.'s office. Well they continued to come every 3-5 min. but lasting for 2-3 min. So I called the Dr.'s office and my favorite nurse told me to go to L&D. Being that I had a short labor with L, less than 5hrs, I needed to go to the hospital asap.  

I get there, about 10 am, walked half the hospital 'cause we parked in the wrong garage, after all the monitor hookups and admit questions I was checked at 11:00 am. 1cm 50% (last Friday I was 1cm and 70%) OK??? She said she would check on me in 1/2 an hour, then I could do some walking. So I am watching my monitors and having contractions every 2-3 min and they are getting stronger. GREAT! 

I was introduced to the new nurse, who said she would check me at 12:30, and if this was real labor I would progress, ok. The contractions counted to get stronger, and were 1-2 min. apart. Well at 12:20 the nurse came in and checked. I was still 1cm and now 60%  False Labor. She sent me home. 

Today I had a regular Dr.'s appointment, I am now 2 cm and 80%. She told me to do a lot of walking this weekend. 

But the trip to L&D light a fire, all of his clothes are washed, and his furniture is in the house. L is a little jealous.
